Growing grass in baking trays as a set for imaginative little world play.
If my grandmother was alive she’d wonder why people were making a big deal about something as basic as getting kids to play outside. In her day kids played outside. They just did.

One of the most thrilling experiences of my life was kayaking Lake George. Recently, kayaking has become a major hobby of mine, and has led me to taking on other outdoor activities, such as hiking and camping. I like the challenges and rewards of kayaking. That hot August day when I paddled my way through the rough waves and currents of the water, I felt as though I was a part of nature. It is a calming and rejuvenating feeling to be outside. It’s easy to get caught up in the hectic schedules in life, but I feel that is very important that we let nature become a larger part of our lives, especially for children. This is why I decided to take on creating Be WILDER, to encourage children as well as their parents to play in the fresh air and experience more of what our parents and grandparents were able to experience. I hope that you get inspired by other people’s thoughts through this blog to head outside and bond with your family and our natural world.
